You all have heard about one way link building, 2 way or reciprocal link building but here I am going to explain about another effective way of link exchange which is 3 way link exchange. Here 3 or more than 3 websites will exchange links among themselves. Here one party must have to give links from their supplementary or back link sites and another party can give link from their main sites or they also can use another websites to give out going links.
From the below mentioned pictures you can easily understand the concept of 3 way link exchange.
In the above mentioned image you can see that there are two main sites which are being used for 3 way link exchange. “Main site 1” is of one webmaster and “Main site 2” is of another webmaster. And the first webmaster is having another websites which is called as different names in the web inudustry which are supplementary sites/back link sites/supporting sites/seed sites etc etc. “Main site 1” will ask the webmaster of “Main site 2 “to place a link for them in their site. After checking the criteria if “main site 2” finds that they can take a link from “main site 1” or their supplementary sites then they will place a link to their main site. But when “main site 2″ will ask to place a link then “main site 1” will add the link on their supplementary or supporting site. They will never give any out going link from their main sites.
In this process 3 websites are involved to complete the link exchange process. That is the reason it is called 3 way link exchange. It is very much effective as Google will not able to understand that both these parties are doing link exchange. It is better than 2 way link exchange because through that Google can easily track the pattern of the links and can penalize the site. So for the last 4-5 years people are following this process of link building or link exchange which is popularly called 3 way link exchange.
Now a days most of the webmasters are maintaining some number of back link sites to give out links to the other webmasters. In that process both the main sites are kept intact and they don’t need to put any external links while doing link exchange. In this way they can manage their main sites in a better way it helps in the page rank of the main website.
